Second Sunday tours, inaugurated in 2004 (as First Sunday), are organized on a theme in relation to a current exhibition in the Museum. In the same vein, School’s Out! Art’s In!, also begun in 2004, are programs scheduled for days when the public schools are not in session. Kids Series: World of Art weekly programs are offered during the summer months. Programs are designed for children of all ages and target different aspects of the collection.

Enjoy a re-enactment by two soldiers from the Lewis & Clark expedition, Reuben and John Field. They will bring some interesting pieces of their equipment and talk about their journey.

Our focus will be the Museum’s ancient coin collection as well as modern examples that portray females: goddesses, queens and empresses. Participants will have the opportunity to learn how to clean their own authentic ancient coin.

Look for examples of female deities and royalty in the Sacred Feminine exhibition. How do the depictions change through the ages? Create your own example of a mummy or a royal portrait.

Everyone welcome! An event for families and their children, students and grownups. Come visit your favorite monsters, creatures, ghosts and goblins. Groups of 20 at a time are taken on a tour of the Museum to see the artworks come to life. Enjoy a movie while you wait.

You can! We will talk about different careers connected with the Museum and look at some of the finds that archaeologists, women and men, have discovered. Then try your hand at excavating your own "dig" and uncover a "treasure" to take home.

Examples of traditional photography and digital photography will be examined by Museum visitors, with emphasis on the Warhol exhibition. Is photography "art"? Why or why not? Photographic realism will also be discussed and participants will create a photo or download digital portraits and decorate the photo.
