Consider the ways that technology has changed our relationship to video and photography.
Using a cell phone camera or digital camera take the challenge of trying to tell a story with one photo. (See samples below.)
Create a character profile of an alter ego. Create a picture of yourself as someone else. You can extend this activity by creating a network of characters, places and scenarios that your alter ego may have experienced.

Just wondering if Rachel Nelson’s black-and-white images refer to pioneering photojournalist Margaret Bourke-White? The images are certainly evocative and thought-provoking, whether or not, but an homage to Bourke-White would really capture the essence of the Transformation Challenge, in my opinion. Just wondering if anyone knew their background…
Thank you for your interest. Yes, I am referring to Margaret Bourke-White. Twentieth century female photographers, Margaret Bourke-White, Dorthea Lange, Tina Modotti, and many more began to reverse the role of the male dominated art of photography. In doing so, these women’s images, such as Lange’s Migrant Mother, have become iconic, continuing to speak to us over 70 years later. Shooting my photograph, Thank You Margaret, allowed me to imagine that I was also a part of this movement.
