eMuseumThe Museum of Art and Archaeology is housed in Pickard Hall, a lovely brick building on the historic Francis Quadrangle. It is, however, a building, and brings with it all the limitations of any physical space - and perhaps a few more. The eMuseum is bounded only by imagination. It is tempting to simply say that the eMuseum area is under construction. But it will likely always be under construction, always being changed or expanded to allow new ways of accessing the collection or learning about the Museum's programs. It will include audio programs, videos, access to electronic newsletters and event notifications, and Musings, the Museum’s blog. It is not, however, designed to showcase the Museum's views alone. One reason we've chosen to use podcasts for audio programs and blogs for opinions is to allow students and members of the broader community to create their own tours and commentaries on art, archaeology and the Museum. We encourage visitors to express their own views, their own experiences, and add their own perspectives through this section of the website. |
