Graphic Diversity: 500 Years of Printmaking![]() Henri Matisse (French, 1869-1954) Tete De Femme 1938 linoleum cut (72.3) This exhibition celebrated the diversity of printmakers, printing techniques, and media in graphic art over the past five hundred years. European and American works, as well as several nineteenth- and twentieth-century Japanese prints, were exhibited. The exhibition also examined the development of printing techniques. Loans from Stephens College, Columbia, and the Ashby-Hodge Gallery of American Art at Central Methodist College, Fayette, Mo., were included, together with works from the permanent collection. |
