The Pursuit of Knowledge

This photograph shows an MU graduate wearing a cap and gown and holding an unrolled scroll. The scroll is a diploma, but scrolls also signify the Bible and the Word of God. Symbolic of martyrdom, the surrounding palm foliage represents how MU men sacrificed their lives in the pursuit of liberty and freedom in World War I.
