COLUMBIA — Employees and supporters of the MU Museum of Art and Archaeology met outside the museum Monday afternoon to mark its transfer to a new location off-campus.
Pickard Hall, located on Francis Quadrangle, will be part of renovations planned for MU beginning next fall. The building was used for science experiments in the 1900s and left residual radiation in some areas of the building.
Galleries CLOSED due to current community health concerns
"I still remember the feeling of awe and disbelief when I was alone and walked in the room with those casts." --Ruth Tofle, chair of architecture, winner of the 2013 distinguished faculty award from the MU Alumni Association
